Corinthians only have two left from the final against Fla in 2022

Timão meets the opponent who defeated him in the Copa do Brasil decider two years ago with a completely reformulated squad

Corinthians will meet Flamengo again in another crucial match of the Copa do Brasil. This Wednesday (2), at 9.45pm, the teams will face each other at the Maracanã, in the first match of the semi-final of the competition. The clash, in fact, takes place two years after the same teams had decided on the 2022 tournament.

Although not much time has passed since the decision, Corinthians arrive quite changed compared to that match. After all, only Fagner and Yuri Alberto remained in the team after the Copa do Brasil final.

The right back, in fact, was one of the villains in that decision, missing a penalty in the decision that ended with Flamengo’s title. Furthermore, the coach was Vitor Pereira, who, the following year, left Timão for Rubro-Negro and caused a lot of confusion at Parque São Jorge.
