STF ministers have lunch together to talk about Barroso’s first year in office

The ministers of the Supreme Federal Tribunal (STF) will have lunch together this Wednesday 2nd, to take stock of the administration of Luis Roberto Barroso, who last Saturday celebrated one year as president of the Tribunal. According to the STF, Barroso’s aim is to listen to ministers’ suggestions for the remainder of the administration, which runs until September 2026.

Barroso has preached dialogue between members of the Court and has already held other lunches with ministers. At the beginning of his administration, his idea was to hold monthly meetings, which did not happen.

THE Political broadcast (Grupo Estado’s real-time news system) saw ministers Flávio Dino, André Mendonça, Gilmar Mendes and Alexandre de Moraes arrive at the meeting. The last two entered together.

Dias Toffoli will also participate, absent for 14 days to treat pneumonia.
