On Friday, July 15, it all starts here…
Before the service begins, Teissier gives the double A brigade some unexpected news: from now on, Louis Guinot is the new chef of the restaurant. Deva and Amber, aware of his methods, are afraid to work with Louis again. But Tom defends her, believing that she helped them reintegrate into the Institute during their training.
Traffic is fast approaching at Gaissacs and everyone is getting their boxes ready. While Diego and Isabel travel, they leave their belongings with their friends in Nîmes, who graciously agree to store them in their garage. For now, the family is leaving the furniture to Solal and Amber, who will remain in the swamps until new owners arrive. Celia confides in Solal that even if her grandfather doesn’t show it, he is very sad to leave them. For her part, Gaisak’s daughter does not hide her enthusiasm for the idea of making a new start in Paris. But Theo seems to have his mind elsewhere. He still has to say goodbye to his family at the institute.
Later, Lisandro finds Emanuele in the park and tells him the most important news: Inspector Vatel Price is currently at the Institute. Tessier can’t believe it. He doesn’t understand what he’s doing there. Realizing there is no time to waste, Iniesta convinces him to go do the job for his son Luis to put the odds in their favor. The director obeys and asks his colleague to let the inspector stay as long as possible.
A short distance away, Theo is saying goodbye to his mother and sister when Emmanuel arrives and tells him that Inspector Vatel is at the institute. Without waiting, the son runs to join his crew in the institute’s kitchens.
While the kitchen is boiling, Louis returns to the stove and comes face-to-face with Theo, who appears to be resuming his position. Determined to get Vatel, Theo informs the Guinot son that he saw clearly in his game and that he knows he lied yesterday about being kicked off Double A’s short list.
During the service, Lisandro informs Theo and Tessier that the inspector will be tasting the dish. However, the latter is completely restless, which prevents Iniesta from determining whether he likes what he eats. Teissier then forces his son to eat the perfect dessert, as it will be the last impression he will make on the inspector. Thanks to her advice, Theo tries the preparations again and decides to dilute his almond cream with white wine. On the other hand, Emmanuel looks at his son, who leads his brigade with a skillful hand, and cannot hide his pride.
At the end of the meal, the inspector wants to talk to Theo. She thanks him for this fabulous meal and admits that she doesn’t often judge restaurants by their app, but was pleasantly surprised by his menu. Double A can largely claim Vattel’s prize, he said. Before leaving, he tells her that the result will be announced on Monday.
At the end of the day, Theo rushes to announce the good news to Celia. Unfortunately, Gaisak’s house is already empty when he goes to the salt marshes. He meets Solal, who explains that his girlfriend called the institute because she didn’t see him come back. Then someone explained to him that everything was fine in Vatel’s price, which he couldn’t resist. Convinced that Theo would never leave Auguste Armand’s school, Celia decided to go to Paris without him.
Greg and Elliot wake up earlier than expected and still have a few hours to go. Gregg is a bit of an entrepreneur and tries to show that they should take the opportunity to pursue love, but Elliott pretends not to understand his hints and is looking for other career ideas. However, Greg continues to insist and Elliott is forced to explain that he does not want to. Her boyfriend apologizes and agrees to have a romantic coffee on the beach.
Later, in the kitchen, Marius doesn’t hide from Greg that he’s very tired from meeting a man the day before, who he didn’t find very nice and interesting. However, he admits to his friend that this young man was a very good lover. So DeLobel’s son asks him if he’s used to one-night stands, which Marius confirms.
The latter is also curious and starts asking Greg questions about his intimate life with Elliot. He asks if he is not tired of being with the same person for a long time. Instead of telling the truth about his friend’s asexuality, Greg assures Marcus that everything is fine between them and they will not stop having sex.
At the end of the day, Chef Cardone arrives at the Beaumont Hotel to prepare for the pastry championship finals with his assistant, a certain Swann. Annabelle doesn’t underestimate the young man as a culinary prodigy to his old friend Benoit DeLobel. As they go in to settle in, Anais and Greg pass them. Anais can’t help but stare at the newcomer, much to Greg’s dismay, to whom she points out that even if she’s in a relationship with Lisandro, she’s allowed to look.
Axel is continuing his training to join the Institute at the start of the academic year. But this time, Jasmine decided to give him a more complicated recipe than usual to reproduce. He has to make the panna cotta in the onion skins without asking for help. But he quickly realizes that some steps require techniques he doesn’t know. Jasmine motivates him and advises him to just follow the recipe carefully.
A little later, Axel somehow prepared the disputed recipe. Salome, preparing to train in the kitchen, agrees to taste Axel’s dish with Jasmine. But after the first bite, the two young people realize that the dish is not a success at all. Axel is upset, thinking that he hasn’t improved lately. But Salome reassures him: the recipe was not at all suitable for a novice. A remark that does not sit well with Jasmine.
According to Salome, this recipe was very technical. Axel could do this ten more times and never succeed. So Jasmine is upset. She made this dish in first grade without any problems. But the young graduate points out to him that he is very talented and believes that Tayce’s nephew has missed a step. Moreover, Axel shares his opinion to anger his girlfriend.
Later, Salome confesses to Axel that she regrets coming between him and Jasmine. A young woman wants to prove once again that she has a talent for cooking. He has been training for only a few months and already has a good level for beginners. If Axel doubts the Institute’s ability to integrate, Salome is more convinced. Tessie’s nephew then questions her about her future and her master’s degree, but Salome prefers to focus on the Pastry Championship. Besides, he thinks that it would be good for him to be away from the institute for a while. And who knows, maybe he’ll meet at the Beaumont Hotel. Axel says that’s all he wants.
