The bus left Maricá, in the Lagos region, at dawn. He was passing along Avenida Brasil, in São Cristóvão, when three men signalled. Once on the bus, the three announced the robbery and asked passengers to close the curtains, the Good morning Riofrom TVGlobo.

The Press Office of the State Secretariat of the Military Police reported that the command of the 4th Battalion of São Cristóvão collaborates with the police station in the area in seeking information on the perpetrators of the crime.
