It was during the Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa podcast that Men Black in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld dropped the bomb — almost literally! The filmmaker revealed that the set of the 1997 action comedy had to be evacuated.for about three hoursBecause of Will Smith’s fart!

you know Will Smith Played alongside Tommy Lee Jones men in blackIt grossed $584 million worldwide, making it the third highest-grossing film of 1997. Coupled with the success of the previous year’s Independence Day, this film made him a global superstar.

According to Sonnenfeld, the incident happened during a scene where Smith and Jones are in a transforming car that is going super fast and spinning. To film a series, two actors must be “Hermetically sealed” in a basket that served as a car.

There are locks to prevent opening and falling“- said the director. “I say: “Turn on the camera.” And I hear Will Smith say, “Oh my God, I’m so sorry. Tom, I’m so sorry. Buzz, take the ladder. And you hear Tom say, “It’s okay, Will. Don’t worry, Will. Don’t worry, Will. At that point, I don’t know what happened, right?

He continued: “So we go to the stairs. Yes, Tom will lift his leg on the way down the stairs and go down the stairs. And what happened is, Will Smith is a lad“, he simply said Barry Sonnenfeld. “Just some are. And you definitely don’t want to be in a very small, tightly enclosed space with a Will Smith fart. You don’t even want to sit next to him at Disney Ranch.

Finally he concluded:We evacuated the set for about three hours. And this is incredible. No, he’s a cute guy. It just covers it. Some do, some don’t.

The director has also signed two sequels men in black along with Will Smith : Men in Black II in 2002 and Men in Black III in 2012. However, neither film reached the box office of the 1997 original, and Josh Brolin also joined the cast for the third installment.
