“I will vote for Guilherme Boulos [no 2º turno]. Because I cannot and could never give my vote on a project led by Ricardo Nunes,” Tabata said.
In justifying his position, Tabata said that Nunes is “the worst mayor São Paulo has ever had” and classified his administration as “mediocre”.
During interviews during the campaign, Tabata had said he would not support any candidate in the second round, but he changed his position. “But know, Guilherme Boulos and I represent absolutely different projects for São Paulo and for Brazil,” he underlined.
Tabata received more than 605,000 votes in the election and came in fourth, behind Pablo Marçal (PRTB). The dispute between Boulos and Nunes is expected in 3 weeks, on October 27th.
