The actress auditioned to play Luna Lovegood in the franchise

“There are things you reject and after they happen you think, ‘Oh, God, that was a mistake on my part,'” he reflected. Ronan. “But I think what stuck with me over the years was that I didn’t say ‘No,’ I just didn’t get the part. I lost, again. It’s a recurring theme for me.”
“I tried out for the role of Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter years ago, because it was like an Irish character, so they called a lot of Irish people — half the people who auditioned were Irish — and I knew I wouldn’t get it, because I was too young, but I was able to read a scene that would be in Harry Potter and it was really cool”, said the actress.
In the same year as the launch of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenixin 2007, Ronan received his first nomination for Oscar thanks to the paper in Desire and Repair (2007). She was just 12 years old when she played Briony in the film starring Keira Knightley and James McVaoy.
Ronan’s CV also includes A Glimpse of Paradise (2009), Lady Bird: Time to Fly (2017) and Little Women (2019) — all with nominations for Oscar.
