The presenter Dudu Camargo was sentenced to pay R$30,000 for moral damages to the singer Simonyfollowing an incident of harassment that occurred during the 2020 Carnival broadcast on RedeTV!.
On this occasion, Simony presented the event together with Nelson Rubens, when Dudu Camargo – fired from SBT for eschatological accusation – asked to participate in the broadcast. The sentence, issued by judge Mônica de Carvalho, rapporteur of the appeal, highlighted that Dudu Camargo acted in an offensive and disrespectful manner. According to the judge, “the evidence in the file is abundant” against the presenter, strengthening the evidence of inappropriate behavior displayed during the live broadcast.
