The main innovations are the new iPads and MacBooks
THE Apple it’s expected to hold a new event in October to announce a slew of products and updates, including new Macs with M4 chips and refreshed iPads. The event is expected to take place at the end of October, with the new products arriving on the market on November 1st.
The Apple giant plans to launch a new line of Macs equipped with the M4 chip, which promises to offer major improvements in performance and energy efficiency. Among the models that will need to be updated are: 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro will have the same processor as the iPad Pro, while the 16-inch model is expected to have the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions of the chip. The Mac mini, in turn, in addition to receiving the M4 chip, will also undergo a restyling, becoming more compact and possibly losing the USB-A ports. The iMac is also expected to be updated with the M4 chip, and there are rumors that Apple will finally replace the Lightning port on the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad accessories with USB-C.
Refurbished iPads
iPads it should also receive attention during the event. Apple plans to launch the seventh-generation iPad mini, which is expected to retain the compact 8.3-inch design of the previous generation, but with improvements in processing, cameras, connectivity and new color options. The entry-level iPad is also expected to be updated, with the expectation that it will receive the A16 chip for faster performance.
The appliance must be equipped with A17 Pro chip, from the iPhone 15 Pro, or A18, from the iPhone 16which should provide a significant performance boost over the current model’s A15 Bionic chip.
Other improvements expected on the device include support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a front-facing camera repositioned at the edge of the landscape, Apple Pencil Pro compatibility, and new color options.
In addition to Mac, iPad and Apple Intelligence, Apple may also announce other products at the October event, such as a new generation of AirTags, new versions of the MacBook Air with M4 chip, an updated iPhone SE, the 11- and 13-inch iPad Air and a new Magic Keyboard for iPad.
