Seven Rubro-Negro players are part of the teams that will take to the field this Tuesday for the World Cup qualifiers
Flamengo will create a task force that will be able to count on the seven players called up for the classic match against Fluminense, this Thursday (17th), for the Brazilian Championship. Rubro-Negro has rented a private jet and is still organizing the logistics of having it available for the match.
In the match between Uruguay and Ecuador, four players from the Rio club will take the field: De la Cruz, Arrascaeta and Varela, for Uruguay, and Plata, for Ecuador. The match will take place this Tuesday (15th), at 8.30pm (Brasilia time), in Montevideo. The four will thus return directly to Brazil and are expected to train on Wednesday afternoon (16th), at Ninho do Urubu.
Gérson and Fabrício Bruno have the easiest return. They are with the Brazilian team, in Brasilia, and on Wednesday they will show up normally for training. Brazil’s match, therefore, is against Peru, this Tuesday, at 9.45pm.
Pulgar, however, will not be able to arrive in time for Wednesday’s training session. Chile will also face Colombia this Tuesday, in Barranquilla. However, the steering wheel will only arrive in Brazil in the afternoon of the following day.
Flamengo prepares a special training session
On Thursday (17) Flamengo will face Fluminense in the 30th round of the Brasileirão. And then there is the decisive duel against Corinthians, to decide who will advance to the Copa do Brasil final. The match will take place on Sunday (20th), at the Neo Química Arena. The Rio club won the first leg 1-0, with a goal from Alex Sandro, and thus have the advantage of the draw. A simple win by Timão takes the decision to penalties.
