Paul McCartney: SP pre-show had songs by Milton Nascimento and Rita Lee’s version of the Beatles

The former Beatle will play the first of two shows in the city this Tuesday the 15th. The show will be delayed by approximately 30 minutes

The audience that already filled the Allianz Park around 7.30pm this Tuesday, the 15th, to see the first of the two shows Paul McCartney do inside Saint Paulbefore the start of the show, he was able to listen to the song that the composers Fernando Brant, Lô Borges and Marcio Borges wrote in his honour.

For Lennon and McCartneyissued by Milton Nascimento in 1970, he played at the stadium among the successes of Beatlesa group of which McCartney was a member.

Avowed fans of the Beatles, Milton and Lô were clearly inspired by the British group when making the album Clube da Esquinain 1972, which mixed English rock with Brazilian rhythms.

Milton, in fact, was with McCartney in December 2023, when he was invited to attend the idol’s performance at the MRV Arena, in Belo Horizonte. It was the first time they had met.

On this occasion, Milton gave the former Beatle the LP containing the song For Lennon and McCartney. In exchange, he received tour T-shirts I’m backthe same one with which McCartney returns to the country this year.

North American DJ Chris Holmes, responsible for the audience’s warm-up set, also played the version of Rita Lee TO In my life. In the Brazilian rocker’s version, it became one My lifereleased on the album Here, there, everywheresince 2006, only with versions of Beatles songs.

Rita’s version was applauded at the beginning and at the end by the audience.

McCartney’s show, scheduled to start at 8pm on Tuesday, is expected to be delayed by around half an hour.
