L’Amour ouf at the box office: what started this movie with Adele Exarchopoulos and Francois Civil?

This Thursday, the day after release Phew loveAll eyes are on Gilles Lelouch’s ultra-ambitious film. L’amour ouf is a huge gamble, with a budget to match (over €32 million), so expectations are high. After the success of Le Grand Bain, Gilles Lelouch is especially expected.

What begins for L’amour ouf? Is it suitable for a large bath? With Adele Exarchopoulos and François Civil, the film is off to a very strong start, the 3rd best start for a French film in 2024. There were 143,726 admissions (including 57,068 in AVP).

Le Grand Bain, released in October 2018, attracted 255,354 viewers (including 94,865 for previews). The film ended its career with more than 4.3 million admissions.

In the 2nd position we find the continuation of the horror movie smile. Smile 2 It drew 34,698 horror fans, compared to 32,859 for the first one, which was released in September 2022. The film received 1,222,333 admissions in France.

In third place we find animation: Crockett, the beautiful cat wowed 32,176 viewers (including 20,124 in AVP). Note that the French voice in the film is that of Artus from Un p’tit truc en plus.

Note that Pity allowing its director, Alain Giraud, to achieve the best start of his career.
