What is the story of The Apprentice?
According to the official synopsis, The Apprentice — which references the reality show of the same name presented by donald trump between 2004 and 2015 —,”traces the origins of an American dynasty”. The text also says that production is “filled with great characters [e] reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers.”

Trump tried to censor biopic
After displaying The Apprentice at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in May, the communications director for the new Trump to the presidency of the United States, Steven Cheungstated that he will take legal action against “blatantly false claims from these fake filmmakers”. “This rubbish is pure fiction, which sensationalizes lies that have long been debunked”he told AFP [via O Globo].
Among the scenes that would be the target of protests Trump and his team there is one that shows the businessman having liposuction; another addressing an erectile dysfunction problem of Trump; and a third, considered the most controversial of the work, portraying the alleged rape committed against his ex-wife, Ivanafter she belittled him for becoming “fat and bald”.
The scene was inspired by a statement given by Ivan in 1990, when he was divorcing Trump. At the time, she stated that she had been sexually abused by her ex-husband. However, a few years later, she denied the incident and said that, in fact, they were good friends. Watch the trailer:
