Werewolves (October 23)

what is this movie about

When the Vasiers start their vacation playing werewolves, a strange phenomenon takes them back to the Middle Ages, 1497, in the village of Tierceliu. Immersed in a world inhabited by terrible werewolves, Jerome, Marie, their three children (Clara, Louise, Theo) and their grandfather Gilbert must unite with the villagers to survive and complete the game. They discover unexpected powers that will help them investigate and save society from the terrifying creatures of the night. But in order to return home, they will have to learn to cooperate and find a new family harmony.

Why does this fascinate us?

This is not the first time that television has tried to adapt the famous board game Les Loups-Garous de Thiercelieux into fiction. And the result was always disappointing. So we expect a lot from this French version produced by Netflix, which turns out to be 100% family comedy. At the top of the bill, banking Frank Dubosky and Jean Reno as father and son. If there’s no doubt about the film’s popular success, we hope the quality is too.

area (October 24)

What is this series about?

In the Australian outback, miners, landowners, cowboys and gangsters compete for the world’s largest cattle station.

Why does this fascinate us?

It’s billed as Netflix’s Yellowstone. The platform rarely ventures into Western territory, but the reputation of Taylor Sheridan’s productions on Paramount+ could be a boon for them. We mainly look at the area for its lead (Anna Torvey), with its breathtaking Australian landscapes and family intrigue.

Ibelin, The Wonderful Life of a Gamer (October 25)

what is this movie about

After a young World of Warcraft player dies, his virtual friends shockingly reveal his secret online life to his family.

Why does this fascinate us?

It’s a documentary that made waves in early September and is finally coming to Netflix. For its beautiful story, but also because it shows that online gaming does not only affect young people. In the case of Mats Steen, who suffered from muscular degeneration, the community he created thanks to the popular World of Warcraft allowed him to live a good life…

Don’t Move (October 25)

what is this movie about

An experienced killer releases a paralyzing agent on a grieving woman. He must run, fight and hide before his body completely shuts down.

Why does this fascinate us?

“A Woman, a Killer, a Forest, and a Paralyzed Agent: This Netflix Movie’s Pitch Is Promising”. This is how we presented Don’t Move when the project was announced, and we still think the same. Produced by Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead), this conceptual horror thriller is only 1 hour 25 minutes long and is about Halloween.

La Cage (November 8)

What is this series about?

A young fighter with dreams of becoming a pro struggles to get noticed until an unexpected fight thrusts him into the spotlight and he faces a formidable opponent.

Why does this fascinate us?

You’ll have to wait a bit longer than the other titles highlighted in this article to discover La Cage on Netflix, but it promises to be the biggest release of November in France. It should be said that this series on MMA (a topic that has been little discussed here) is the co-creator of Frank Gastambide, who we owe to the excellent Validé rival channel.

See you soon!
