Brazilians Maria Esther Bueno and Guga Kuerten are already part of the group
At 37 years old, Maria Sharapova will officially enter the Tennis Hall of Fame. The Russian tennis player was announced together with her American brothers Bob AND Mike Bryan as he was chosen to be part of the small group of athletes who made the history of world tennis. To celebrate, the trio will celebrate with a three-day ceremony in Newport, US in August 2025.

The news will be celebrated in style by Sharapova and the Bryan brothers. Over the course of three days, the party will feature live entertainment, a tennis and fashion show meet and greet. Of course the tennis matches couldn’t be missing. The event features a special mixed doubles tournament featuring tennis players and celebrities.
“I am honored to welcome Maria Sharapova, Bob and Mike Bryan to the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s Class of 2025. In addition to each of their historic achievements on the court, the Class of 2025 has had such a profound impact on the game of tennis and inspired generations of fans around the world,” said Hall of Fame President Kim Clijsters.
Currently the group has 267 tennis players from 28 countries. Brazil is well represented by Maria Esther Bueno, who entered the class of 1978, and Gustavo Kuerten, known as Guga, who joined the Tennis Hall of Fame in 2012.
The trio made tennis history
Like the over 200 tennis players who are part of the group, Maria Sharapova has made the history of the sport. The Russian has five Grand Slam titles to her credit. The first, obtained in 2004, dates back to when he was just 17 years old.
According to Forbes, Sharapova’s success in tennis was so great that she was the highest paid female athlete in the world for 11 consecutive years. At the Olympics, the Russian took second place in London 2012. In 2020, the tennis player decided to retire and today dedicates herself to fashion.

Brothers Bob and Mike Bryan are the most successful couple in the history of tennis. Together, the Americans have 16 Grand Slam titles, four ATP Finals and two Olympic medals, including a gold at London 2012 and a bronze at Beijing 2008.
