The man admitted to police that he had argued with her, but denied killing her. He told the police that he responded to his partner’s extortions and that he fled because he was a married man, father of three children and parish priest of a church in the city.
The identity of the alleged pastor was not revealed, which prevented the complaint from reaching out to his defense. The police report does not show which church he was the parish priest of, which also prevented the hearing of the respective representative entity.
The body of Luane, originally from Bahia and who was in Santos with her husband, was found in a motel on Avenida Rangel Pestana, in Vila Mathias. He had the documents that allowed his identification. The body underwent forensic examination at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) to determine the cause of death.

According to his report, it was only at the motel that he realized that he was a trans woman who refused the program.
According to the suspect, she felt offended by the refusal and, in addition to demanding payment, she wanted him to make a Pix of R$100 as compensation. He said he complied with the request because he was a “family man” and feared “a scandal” if his wife discovered the affair, but the woman demanded more money and threatened him with a stun gun. He then allegedly started a physical fight, falling on top of her. Realizing that she had passed out, he fled the scene.
The suspect said that as he ran away, he took the stun gun taken from the trans woman and threw it into a city canal. Witnesses interviewed by police confirmed that the suspect entered the motel with Luane and left alone 30 minutes later, handing the room key to the receptionist.
According to the Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo (SSP-SP), the military police were informed of the body in the Vila Matias motel. At the scene, they discovered that the suspect had killed a 27-year-old woman. A necropsy examination was requested to identify the cause of death. The case was registered as a homicide at the Santos Judicial Police Center (CPJ). The suspect was given a custody hearing and was arrested.
