Inter and Flamengo are tied with a bad result for both

The teams played a great match at Beira-Rio, but the result was not favorable to the Brasileirão’s goals

In a delayed match of the 17th round of the Serie A of the Brazilian championship, Internacional faced Flamengo, this Wednesday (30), at the Beira-Rio Stadium, in Porto Alegre. In the fight for a direct place in next year’s Libertadores and also for the title, the teams ended up drawing. The Rossoneri took the lead with a goal from Alcaraz, but Enner Valencia declared the draw for Inter.

FIRST HALF:

Even before the first minute Inter were in danger and after just 11 seconds they had a good opportunity. Léo Ortiz makes a mistake in defense and Borré takes the opportunity to shoot Rossi, but Varela saves on the line. Colorado follows him better and has another good opportunity at the 5th, when Alan Patrick takes the corner, Borré adjusts the ball and Wesley shoots high.

After Inter’s initial pressure, Flamengo wakes up and takes advantage of Bruno Henrique’s attack. The player launched himself, beat Bruno Gomes and crossed wide. The match continues with many chances and Gérson is the one who misses another chance to equalize. The Rossoneri midfielder receives it from Plata and hits it hard.

The best opportunity, however, would be for Inter in the 18th minute. After being played on the left, Wesley crossed for Bruno Tabata. The player gets his header and hits Rossi’s crossbar. After the great opening chances, the match slowed down a bit and became more rhythmic, until Fla had another chance in the 32nd minute.

After a corner, Pulgar guessed and Varela kicked out the first time. When everything seemed to be heading towards a goalless draw in the first half, Flamengo scored. Ayrton Lucas crosses from the left and Thiago Maia cuts with his arm, penalty. Alcaraz kicks the penalty and guarantees the partial victory for the Rossoneri: 1-0.

SECOND HALF:

In the second half Internacional returns with a change: Clayton Sampaio in place of Rogel. The first chance of the second half belonged to Flamengo, when Evertton Araújo left Bruno Henrique face to face with Rochet, but the AC Milan striker beat the Inter goalkeeper.

Colorado answered at seven, when Alcaraz missed a pass and Tabata threw the ball to Wesley. But Rossi started well from goal and avoided the danger. In the 9th minute, Gérson crosses the line with Bruno Henrique, who tries to pass, but the ball is blocked. In the next move, Internacional got well down the left when Alan Patrick overran the mark and shot, but Rossi saved.

Coach Roger Machado then made two more changes: Gabriel Carvalho and Wanderson replaced Bruno Tabata and Wesley. On the Flamengo side, Michael replaced Gonzalo Plata.

Inter came into danger in the 27th minute, when Bernabéi crossed and the ball hit Varela’s arm. Colorado players asked for a penalty, but the referee did not award it. Flamengo responded in the 30th minute, when Pulgar launched Michael, who made a great move on the left and crossed well for Alcaraz, who took the marker and shot wide, wasting an incredible opportunity.

Shortly afterwards Inter had another good opportunity, when Bernabéi crossed and the ball fell to Borré, who shot the ball and Rossi then saved. Inter insisted on attacking, until they scored in the 43rd minute. Alan Patrick gives a great pass to Enner Valencia, who hits Rossi’s exit and equalizes: 1-1.

The turning point came almost in the 45th minute, when Bruno Gomes made a nice move on the right and shot, but Rossi made a great save to prevent another Inter goal. The last dangerous move was when Valencia kicked and the Flamengo goalkeeper made another save to ensure parity on the scoreboard.

UPCOMING GAMES:

With the draw, Flamengo reaches 55 points and remains in fourth place. Inter have 53 points and occupy fifth place in the Brazilian championship.
