“We’d go on set and every lunch break, Tom would run. He’d run to wherever he was being taken to launch. So we didn’t really get a chance to hang out together.”said the actor before clarifying that they still had some great moments in front of the camera and were able to catch them on set here.

“I was really tired.”

Between filming Forrest Gump, like his character, Tom Hanks spent most of his time running, running…and running again.

“I was very tired because we had to shoot for 27 days”– explained the actor last year at the microphone of the New Yorker.

“Remember how Forrest runs across the country? Well, there’s only one way to shoot those scenes. You have to fly to the damn place, get dressed, run for an hour and a half, and then leave, get on a plane, and then fly to, say, New Hampshire, and I did it all over again, so That I didn’t know what was going on.
