After the success of Godzilla Minus Onewhich won the first Oscar in the history of the film franchise, the director Takashi Yamazaki will direct another production about daikaijū. The news was announced this Friday (1st) on the official Godzilla on YouTube.
Yamazaki will be responsible for the script, direction and supervision of the new visual effects. Details about the plot of the new film Godzilla have not been revealed so far, so we don’t know if the film will be a sequel to Godzilla Minus One or a new story. Check out the ad:
What is the story of Godzilla Minus One?
In Godzilla Minus Onea pilot returns to his family home and finds a Japan in ruins after World War II. In the midst of existing problems, the Godzilla appears again, creating a new challenge: fight the gigantic monster and emerge from the confrontation alive.
In this year’s edition of the Oscars, the biggest cinema award, Godzilla Minus One made history three times. The film became the first in the franchise Godzillain 70 years, to be nominated for a golden statuette. When he won, he consequently also became the first winner.
