Timão was eliminated from the Copa Sudamericano on Thursday 31 October after losing 2-1 to Racing, in a surprise result. With this defeat, Corinthians threw their last chance to win a cup in 2024 down the drain and, following this elimination from the continental tournament, Timão, like Santos in 2024, will not play the Copa do Brasil in 2025.
