In history, we know Bruno15 years old, who is irreversibly losing his vision. The film deals with the uncertainties of adolescence, amplified by the boy’s imminent blindness, and transforms the tragic fate of Bruno in a collective learning report.
In addition to the Netflix Award, Saudade Made Home Here Inside was one of the six finalists on the Oscar 2025 pre-nominated list, along with features such as Destination Motelby Karim Aïnouz (The Invisible Life), and I’m Still Hereby Walter Salles (Central Brazil), who ended up chosen to represent Brazil in the biggest cinema award.
