To applause, Trump began his speech: “I want to thank the American people for being elected the 47th president,” he said to applause.

“It was the greatest political movement of all time and now we are going to help the country heal. The country needs help,” the Republican said.

The former president returned to the most defended issues during his campaign, such as anti-immigration policy. Trump said it was necessary to close the US borders.

“I will not rest until we return to the safe, prosperous America we deserve. This will be America’s golden age,” he said.

In his speech, Trump thanked his running mate, J.D. Vance, and, as a sign of gratitude, also took the opportunity to dedicate part of his speech to billionaire Elon Musk, who has been one of the biggest public supporters of his countryside. Trump called Musk a “genius” and praised his career.

The Republican also spoke about the attacks he suffered while running for president. “God saved my life for a reason: to save our country and restore America to its greatness,” he said. Trump continued his speech by saying that he hopes for US unity after his election.
