Teen drama and teen romance series combine the happy and sad feelings of being young in love. Just like the Netflix miniseries “Boo, Bitch” with Lana Condor.

The actress from “X-Men: Apocalypse” (2016) and “Alita: Battle Angel” (2019) returns to the teen romance genre with Netflix after her successful role as Lara Jean in the “To All the Boys” movies.

But this eight-episode sitcom introduces a twist to the genre by turning the character of Lana Condor from being treated like she doesn’t exist to a real-life ghost who became popular because she was dead.

What is Netflix’s ‘Boo, Bitch’?

The series tells the story of two shy friends, Erika Wu (Lana Condor) and Gia (Zoe Margaret Colletti), who are in their senior year of high school and decide to stand out at school and go wild at a party. .

But everything changes on the night of the party, when Erica is hit and crushed by a moose. The next day he discovers that she is dead, but remains in the world of the living as a ghost.

Erica can interact with things and be seen, so she decides to investigate why she is a ghost. A group of boys at school who are into the occult and mysticism tell him that ghosts sometimes exist because they have things to do in their lives.

Gia and Erica believe that graduation is her to-do list and to stay in the world of the living she must be the most popular and win over her crush, the young Jake Seay (Mason Versaw).

Erica’s new attitude brings her face to face with the issue of bullying and her first love. However, she clashes with her best friend, who thinks she is missing out on the chance to be the most popular girl in school.

The dark comedy and teen romance starring Lana Condor is available exclusively on Netflix starting July 8. ‘Boo, Bitch’ is a limited series, so it will only have one season.

The cast of the miniseries is rounded out by Jami Alix as Lea, Tenzing Norgay Trainor as Gavin, Abigail Achiri as Raven, Austin Fryberger as Archer, Zachary Fineman as Felix and Madison Thompson as Emma.
