Claudine intervenes in Janet’s case
Serge Levars goes to the BGL office to discuss Mr. Bréval’s affair with Johanna. The lawyer managed to convince his client not to file a complaint against Janet and to agree to a settlement.
Unfortunately, the Doctor isn’t ready to apologize to Eloy. Johanna asks Levar to take some time to convince her. Regarding the settlement, the lawyer tells him that the hospital is willing to offer Mr. Breval 5,000 euros in damages instead of the 10,000 euros he was asking for. They agree on this point.
A little later in the day, the hospital director informed Janet that he had just spoken to Maitre Lemeur on the phone and that Mr. Breval had accepted their counteroffer for compensation. Janet is surprised that the hospital agrees to pay this compensation, but the director explains to her that this is preferable to starting an expensive procedure.
Janet assures him that the patient was fine when she saw him earlier in the day. The latter believes him, but he wants to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. He then asks Janet to apologize to Mr. Breval.
Janet is disappointed to admit a mistake she did not make. He then goes to the office to discuss the reconciliation with Johanna that will take place the next day.
The lawyer tells him that he will have to apologize to Mr. Breval for not taking his symptoms seriously, and that, with minimal conviction. This is the best way to get rid of it quickly. Janet finally agreed.
A few hours later, Johanna evaluates with Claudine and Florent. The lawyer is sure that the reconciliation will be in the best conditions. But Claudine disagrees and allows herself to add her two cents. He thinks the cabinet should counterattack and sue Breval for defamatory denunciation. But Johanna refuses to handle the file this way.
Once alone, Claudine calls Becker to convince Janet not to accept what Johanna is suggesting and counterattack. Claudine knows full well that Janet doesn’t want to apologize, she heard it in the office.
Clement then asks her to get involved in what concerns her. Claudine then confides in her ex-husband that she wants to make amends with Janet. But Becker isn’t sure that getting Claudine involved will make it right. Then it turns off quickly.
Back at home, Becker tells Janet about Claudine’s call. The doctor does not understand what he is getting into.
Is Eve in danger?
Eva finds Charles in an underground parking lot. He gives her an envelope containing 1,000 euros. It was all he could do to stop his superior from advancing. He wanted to give more, but he had already given all his savings to Elliott last week.
Eva understands and thanks him for the gesture. He also emptied his home savings plan of €15,000. He also applied for a consumer credit of 10,000 euros. She hopes that this 26,000 euros will be enough to wait for Curtis. But Charles isn’t convinced.
Curtis is a dangerous man with little patience. He offers to talk to Manu about all this, but Eva refuses. This will put him in a difficult situation and he will be forced to denounce Eliot. But Charles insists. He thinks Elliot will be safer in prison. Eve disagrees and refuses to see her son except in the guest room for the next fifteen years.
Muriel, on the other hand, is angry with Elliot because he still wants to go back to Abidjan. Elliot defends himself by saying that he wants to do what’s best for him and Tom. He asks Muriel to trust him. But he tells her that he can’t because of all the lies he told her. He asks her to tell him the truth, but she refuses.
After losing Elise and Thierry once again, Curtis calls Eve and arranges to meet her later that evening. It’s nightfall in Montpellier when Eva finds the trafficker at the indicated place. The latter is on the phone.
He tries to contact Ivan, his best man, who was supposed to arrive before him. But he has no answer. Eva then gives Curtis an envelope containing only €16,000. She asks him to delay the balance payment. However, Curtis is demanding the full €50,000 immediately.
He then threatens to attack Elliot and his family. Just then, a man on a motorcycle pulls up next to them. He shoots Curtis at point blank range. The latter collapses on the ground, in front of Eve, helpless.
