Hippocrates on Canal+: Who are the doctors featured in the first episode of season 3?

Canal+ launches the highly anticipated Season 3 of Hippocrates this Monday, November 11. The medical series created by Thomas Lilt returns to television after an absence of more than three years for a new series of episodes featuring Arben (Karim Leclew), Alison (Alyssa Bellaid), Hugo (Zachary Chacerio), Chloe (Louise). Bourgoin) and Olivier Brun (Bouli Laners) face new situations that are as difficult as ever.

Although part of the service at the Poincaré hospital is closed by the decision of the health authorities, the caregivers will have to make a choice: follow the rules or not obey the Hippocratic Oath.

Who is the first episode about?

Even the most observant of viewers will not have noticed that the first episode of Hippocrates Season 3 is dedicated to Dr. Jean-Marc Norres and Dr. Jean Maus. When asked, Thomas Lilty told us that his career was marked by two doctors who, unfortunately, died.

“Dr. Jean-Marc Naures was the hospital doctor I worked with and who taught me a lot. He had a great influence on me. He was very special. He was a very original character“, he explained.

“And Dr. Jean Maus was the general practitioner I interned with for six months. He belonged to a slightly different era of medicine. But both had two things in common.“

“They had tremendous compassion and taught me things that I may not have known how to do after I was no longer in medicine, but what is at the heart of what I do is that care is an exchange..”

“We may not be a great doctor, we may not have an incredible encyclopedic knowledge, we may not be a great medical technician, but if we get the idea that talking, being interested in people, interacting with them, empathizing, influencing our own care, and interacting with the patient is enough. In any case, it is irreplaceable and necessary. They both taught me this. They passed away this year, so it was important to me to bring them into the series.”
