After a year and a half of waiting, Jamie and Claire are back on our screens. On November 23rd, one day after it airs on Starz, Netflix will upload the first episode of Outlander Season 7, Part 2. In this long-awaited sequel, the writers adapt the ending of the novel Echo of distant hearts By Diana Gabaldon.

Be warned, the following paragraphs will spoil a small part of the story and will most likely spoil your enjoyment.

Bad news for Outlander fans!

In Season 7 Episode 2, the Frasers decide to leave America and return home to Scotland. In the video you can watch below, Caitriona Balfe, Sam Hegan and producer Maryl Davis revealed that our two heroes are going to have a hard time: “There may be a separation.” A narrative arc that fans are familiar with, as this isn’t the first time our star-crossed lovers have lived apart from each other for a period of time.

In this particular case, it will be a geographical separation, not a temporary one, since Claire will have to return to America for some sort of medical emergency. James will have to try to solve the problems that await him in Scotland.

Warning: Major spoilers: In Diana Gabaldoni’s novel, which the series doesn’t necessarily fit, Claire learns that Jamie has died and starts a new life with another man in order to survive. When he discovers she is still alive, he and his wife face one of their worst relationship crises. And it could be in the midst of Outlander Season 8, which will be its last.

This much-anticipated split between the two Outlander heroes may come as a shock to fans who have seen them love, lose, and find each other several times over the past ten years…
