After a first phase full of errors, Chape is more effective in the second half and secures the victory over Coxa
Chapecoense surprised Coritiba and secured a 2-1 comeback victory, this Sunday (17), at the Arena Condá. Verdão do Oeste did not have a good performance in the first phase and had a weak defense. Later, however, she began to be more decisive in her attacks and also counted on luck to guarantee her triumph. The result keeps the Catarina team in the next edition of the Série B with one round to spare.
Chape reached 44 points and was no longer joined by the other members who were still trying to escape from Z4. These are the cases of Ituano and Ponte Preta. Coxa stops at 50 points and remains in tenth place.
Coritiba reacts in the first phase and opens the scoring

The turning point of Chapecoense
The script of the second half was similar to the attacking attitude of the home team. Italo had three opportunities to tie the match, but he didn’t take advantage of them. Then it was Coxa’s turn to scare his opponent. Pomba made a good individual play, he dribbled past two opponents, he finished, but without difficulty for Léo Vieira. However, Thalisson Gabriel’s deflection changed the scenario. The visitors still had another chance to equalise, but Léo Vieira was key in preventing the equaliser.
