Brazil can end the year in second place in the table, but to do so they must beat Uruguay and hope that Ecuador beats Colombia, otherwise they remain tied. With this, the Seleção can reach 20 points and overtake the Uruguayans in the table, as well as close the gap with leaders Argentina, who currently has 22 points.
In the competition, the Brazilian team has won 17 points and is in fourth place in the standings, with five wins, two draws and four defeats. The Uruguayans have five wins, four draws and just two defeats.
The teams have faced each other on 80 occasions in history, and Brazil has wide favoritism in terms of numbers, having 38 wins to Uruguay’s 21 triumphs. Another 21 fights ended in draws.
