Because nineteen years after the first comics appeared, Philippe de Cheuvron (whose Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au Bon Dieu?) adapted the two Brussels works for cinema.

That’s how L’Élève Ducobu hit theaters in 2011, a family comedy in which our mischievous young hero joins the Saint-Potache school after being expelled from his former institution.

In order to avoid ending up in boarding school, Doukobu must outdo himself and develop the most ingenious and spectacular tricks he could ever imagine. The game is far from winning, as Mr. Latush, her excellent teacher, is a tough opponent, and Leon, the class leader she tries to copy, won’t stay under his spell for long…

The cast of this funny comedy features Vincent Claude (Le Petit Nicolas), Bruno Podalides, who plays his father, Juliet Chappe, who plays a talented little girl, Helena Noguera, who lends her qualities to the child’s mother. And finally, Ellie Semun in the (very) sanguine Professor Latouche skin.
