The actor even had the help of Lenny Kravitz to change his body
Denzel Washington was not satisfied with how his body appeared in photos in the edition of Oscar 2022.
“I was looking at pictures of me with Pauletta [esposa de Denzel] node Oscar to The Tragedy of Macbethand I just look fat, with this dyed hair”, recalled the actor in an interview with the magazine Esquire (via People).
That night, washington became the black actor with the most award nominations. However, he decided he needed to make some changes. “I said, ‘Those days are over, man,'” he reflected after the event.
To do this, he enlisted the help of his “good friend” and “younger” brother: “Lenny Kravitz said, ‘D, I want to introduce you to a coach.’ And he did that, and the coach is also a man of faith. I started training with him in February last year”
“He prepares meals for me, and we are training. Now I’m about 86 kg, on my way to 84,” he said washington. “I feel like I’m getting stronger.”
