Wednesday 20 November in a more beautiful life, even more beautiful…
Gabriel faces blackmail
At Mistral, Thomas (Laurent Kerussore) informs Killian that Gabriel failed the man who sold his identity on the dark web. And for good reason, this person was a tennis champion, and at that time Gabrielle was his fan.
Riva excuses herself in front of her husband and declares: “He was a talented and promising tennis player. One day he had a serious motorcycle accident and had to stop everything. The surgeon who operated on him was me.”
Gabrielle explains to her husband that this was the first operation she managed and that it failed. Since then, he has been plagued by guilt. Thomas and Killian advise her to go talk to the man.
A few minutes later, Gabriel arranges a meeting with him in Mistral. The latter has not forgotten the face of the person who ruined his promising tennis career. Thomas, who is there, asks her if she wanted revenge on her husband. The latter answers: “Tennis was everything to me.”
At the hearing, the man agrees to pay part of Gabriel’s fine: 3,000 euros. The doctor receives the check from this man and finds that the latter has signed Gabriel Riva’s name. Before leaving, the man said to Gabriel and Thomas: “Did you really think we were going to stop there?”
Luna is the victim of a conspiracy
Luna asked the correctional center if she could sign up inmates for her reunification project. The guard informs that the management has accepted his request and gives him the recorder. He adds that he has heard the prisoners talking about his project and they have high expectations. He said to the prisoner: “You don’t want to disappoint them.”
A few minutes later, Luna records her cellmate, Valerie. A young woman confides in him that she has a habit of falling in love with bad boys. She tells him the reason for her arrest: she allowed herself to be seduced by a drug dealer. He played a mule for him and was caught by the police. As a result, her daughter is now placed in a foster home.
At the end of the day, Luna proudly tells Babette about her project: “It makes me feel good, I feel useful.” He takes the opportunity to tell her that the days are getting longer, especially when it gets cold in the prison. Surprised, Babette said: “Didn’t you get the cashmere pants I sent you?”.
Back in her cell, Luna informs the guard that she lost the package. He takes the opportunity to tell her that the first interviews went well and he wants to hear the first recordings.
Against all expectations, he discovers that the tape contains no vocals. He angrily informs the detainee: “What are you playing at, haven’t you done an interview? The management won’t like it, they don’t trust you.”
Vanessa sacrifices Julie
Early in the morning, Ophel tells her brother Ulysses (Jeremy Charvette) and mother Vanessa (Agathe de la Boulay) the wonderful news: a boutique in Monaco saw her fashion show and liked it. That’s not all, the manager buys his entire collection. Vanesa and Ulises are delighted with the young girl.
A few hours later Ulysses joins Lea at the Place du Mistral. The lawyer thanks his friend for investigating Julie. He takes the opportunity to ask Leah if she noticed any bruises on the young woman’s body, and she says no. That’s not all, as he adds: “There’s something incomprehensible about Julie and Anthony’s relationship.”
Indeed, she wonders if Anthony might not be emotionally blackmailing Julie. Leah volunteers to go and discuss the situation with her colleagues at the hospital. As a sign of thanks, Ulysses takes him by the hand, and at the same time Jean-Paul (Stephane Hannon) observes the scene.
Ophel, on the other hand, toasts the good news with her friend Anthony. They gather to drink, facing the port of Marseille. Anthony informs the young woman that he knows the manager of the Monaco boutique and that Vanessa even bought the place two years ago. Ophel can’t believe it.
Shocked, he rushes to inform Aya that the Monaco boutique belongs to her mother. A young woman blames herself for thinking that someone might be interested in her clothing collection. He is extremely angry with his mother.
A few minutes later, Ophel settles the score with her mother. She tells him that Anthony told her all about the Monaco boutique. He said to his mother: “You humiliated me, I didn’t ask you for anything, I don’t want to succeed like this.”
As an apology, Vanessa tries to hug her daughter, but the latter refuses to have the slightest contact with her, and then leaves. Once alone, Vanessa calls Anthony and asks for a date without further ado.
At the end of the day, Vanessa finds herself out of Anthony’s sight. The latter said to him:Do you want to know where Julie is? I will give you the address of his hotel and the room number.. The only condition: he must take his bride as far away as possible and never come near the Kepler family again.
