Warning, spoilers. The following paragraphs show plot elements from the movie “GTMAX” on Netflix.
A new nerve-wracking action film on Netflix, GTMAX is part of a list of feature films with big stunts that testifies to the success of French know-how in this field on the platform.
After Balle Perdue and AKA, the streaming service offers this new film written and directed by Olivier Schneider, who is not only an actor, writer and director, but also a stunt director and stunt coordinator who cut his teeth on films like Taken, Fast & Furious . 6 or even James Bond’s 007 Specter and No Time to Die.
His skills were put to good use in GTMAX, which features numerous stunts and other dangerous motocross and Tmax pursuits.
What is “GTMAX”?
The film tells the story of Soeli Carella (Ava Baia), a motocross prodigy who sees her dreams of success shattered after an accident. He then devotes himself to mechanics and trains his little brother Michael (Riyad Belaiche).
The Carella family, consisting of patriarch Daniel (Gérard Lanvin) and his sister Helene (Clementine Cellarie), owns a once-popular motocross track, but is now on the brink of bankruptcy.
Michael tries to raise funds and agrees to join a gang of Tmax scooter pilots led by Elias (Jalil Lespert) and Theo (Jérémie Laheurte) for dangerous missions.
Still terrified of the idea of getting back in the saddle, Soel decides to protect his brother and take his place in the gang to pull off a dangerous high-profile heist in Paris.
A young woman has no choice but to overcome her fears and the demons of her past in hopes of saving her family. But the policeman Lucas (Thibaut Evrard), who has been on the trail of the gang for a long time, is also on his trail.
How does “GTMAX” end?
At the end of GTMAX, Soel is cornered and has no choice but to participate in a heist planned by Elias and Theo. He has to take the place of Yasin (Samir Dekaza), who was killed by Elias because he was arrested by the police.
Especially since Elias wants to blame Michael, Soel’s brother, so the latter must follow Elias if he wants to protect his family. The heist takes place in broad daylight in Paris and consists of the diamond being stolen while he is being escorted by car.

If the plan goes ahead without a hitch, things get complicated when the police arrive and Lucas chases Soel, Elias and Theo on a scooter. The three drive away until Theo’s car crashes. He decides to pass the stones to Soel and finish with his foot.
Soel and Elias meet up at the docks after a long chase with policeman Luke. Elias crashes into Lucas’ motorcycle and the two men fight. Soel arrives to find Elias handcuffed and Lucas passed out.
He lets Elias know that Theo ran off with the diamonds and throws the key to the handcuffs at Cena. Soel explains to Elias that three witnesses saw him kill Yassin and that he can no longer threaten him or he will reveal everything.
What should we understand from the end of “GTMAX”?
GTMAX ends with a new motocross race at the Carrella family circuit, which the latter is finally able to maintain despite his debts. Soel and his brother Michael will take part in the race.

Policeman Lucas is also present, but explains to the family that he is officially off duty, but that doesn’t stop him from continuing to investigate and ask questions.
As the race begins, Soel sees Theo in the distance winking at him. Therefore, we can assume that the latter sold the diamonds to get a good jackpot and that he had to help the Karella family pay off their debts in order to remain the owner of the circuit.
This rather open ending could lead to a sequel that could revolve around Theo and Soel’s reunion, but also Elias’ revenge or even Lucas’ investigation. At this time, Netflix has not announced a franchise for GTMAX.
The movie “GTMAX” is available on Netflix.
