Alocine: You played the role of Charlene Tace in the film Here it all starts for almost two years. What conclusions do you draw from this?

Paula Petrenko : I was very lucky because I started with little experience. I had a few series shot for the Canal, but it was far from as big as we are getting at the moment. I think the evolution that I have had during these two years is absolutely incredible, both from a technical point of view and in the game or in my character.

Charlene grew up. I was lucky because I liked the authors very much. This evolution is insane when you see the first episodes compared to the present. Looks like two different people.

We can say that war has now been declared between Celia (Rebecca Benhamur) and Charlene. What can we expect between them in the following episodes?

Charlene is very angry with Celia because she broke off the relationship between Martha (Sarah Fitter) and Theo (Khaled Alwachi). Martha has been his best friend since childhood and it’s necessary for him to meet his best friend. The fact that this mythical couple, who had been there since the beginning of the series, was so far apart, something destroyed Charlene. That is why he is angry with Celia.

He also has to blame Theo. Besides, he is very angry with him, so he hesitates and accuses him. But he thinks Celia broke something. Suddenly, Charlene, who is never white, wants revenge. How far will he go to avenge his best friend? Only he can tell you that he will not go far this time.

Lastly, is Charlene doing this just to help her best friend or at the top of the Easter menu?

Of course it is! If we can catch Célia and also get the Easter menu, it is a great pleasure.

If Charlene is very loyal to friends, she is also very family oriented. Not afraid of losing a brother in all this?

In these circumstances Charlene needs a sense of some justice. He needs to punish Theo for what he did to Martha. However, he understood the mistakes of the past and this time he will not exaggerate.

It will be a Machiavellian union. They will go well until the final change of the situation, which is completely reversed.

It’s been a few weeks since Louis (Fabian Wolfrom) left the institute. Can we hope to reunite with Charlene soon?

Charlene is very fond of Louis. He loves her with all his heart as no one has ever loved him before. I do not think Charlene-Louis is the couple we will divorce. Inevitably Charlene awaits him with a firm foot.

I can tell you we shot a very nice scene. Impressed because it was a tribute to the French film La boum. I was lucky to be able to shoot this. Either way, let’s go on new adventures with Louise that will continue.

Last year, your character was central in the “Sugar Daddy” script. Recently, the series explored the complexions of Charlene Teisser and the harms of cosmetic surgery, especially among the youngest. As an actor, is it important for you to be able to discuss such powerful topics in prime time?

of course. This is incredible because we have the opportunity to raise social issues and show people what is happening in young people at the moment. I’m talking about Botox, for example, it is what affects people close to me. Illegal injections are very fashionable and popular in reality. We were lucky to be able to prevent and inform people about these topics. I understand that for Charlene it came out of nowhere, but this is a topic that has had an impact on the people who follow it. So it’s good that we were able to talk about it.

This is a conspiracy that made Charlene more humane …

Exactly. This is a bit of a touch that I asked the authors. I asked for a touch of kindness that looked a little more like me. They listened to me and that’s wonderful.

Teissier’s family grew with the arrival of Axel (Thomas and Costa). Soon Emanuel’s brother Philip arrives. What can you tell us about this impending family conspiracy?

The Teyssier clan does not stop at Axel and Philip. What will happen to Teusie’s family next? Axel will obviously be there and I think that is also the way to integrate it. But the Teyssier family will be entirely in the foreground in the coming months. There will be a lot of scrolling.

Your character is in his third year of cooking and is going to finish his course at the Auguste Armand Institute. Do you know what awaits your character after the exams?

Charlene is a very good student. Unfortunately, he does not know whether he will graduate or not. We do not know what might happen, donate or repeat. It’s all an open door. In any case, there will be surprises for the students of the Auguste Armand Institute.

What do you hope for the future of your character?

I love filming with the Tessier family, so I served there. Wonderful, that’s exactly what I wanted. Then I asked Charlene for a touch of softness and humanity. In fact, it turns out that after that, I miss the plague scenes (laughs). Either way, I like to keep Charlene as she is, and sometimes add the slightest touch of humanity.
