After almost four seasons, Raphael (Lola Devaer) and Nicola (Benoit Michel) are finally on the same page in Season 5 of Astrid and Raphael, currently airing every Friday night on France 2.

Fans were really starting to lose hope that they would ever see each other again. After exchanging a passionate kiss in the season 3 finale, Rafael and Nicholas broke up during season 4 due to many misunderstandings.
But things changed between them after the finale, in which Raphael and Nicolas finally shifted into gear. And since then, the two lovers have been in perfect love.
Unfortunately, in Season 5 Episode 2, Rafaele, who was pregnant with Nicolas, suffered a miscarriage. And if fans could fear that this ordeal would affect their relationship, they came out even stronger. But does this mean that Raphael and Nicholas will really be together?
Will Nicholas and Rafael really be together?
During an interview with AlloCiné, Astrid and Raphael screenwriter Alexandre de Seguins answered this thorny question. And if everything is going well for the moment, the couple must experience new trials.
“Life is not always a long, calm river“- he explained to us. “There will undoubtedly be new challenges. But we preferred to play on this calm between them rather than create an artificial coup. They still have a way to go.”
“Astrid and Rafael’s friendship is very important and we don’t want to damage it. The springs of our series do not depend on this. For Rafael and Nicholas, there is something that might work. We’ve been waiting four seasons for this, and it’s nice to finally have a moment where both characters are going in the same direction.”
