Warning, spoilers. The following paragraphs show plot elements from the end of the “Arcane” series.
Two seasons and then he left. After 18 episodes, one of Netflix’s best series, rated 4.6 out of 5 by AlloCiné viewers, comes to an epic and thrilling finale.
Fans have had to wait three years to discover the sequel and ending to Arcane, an American-French production from Riot Games and Fortiche Production, which is set in the world of the famous video game “League of Legends”.
Divided into three acts of 3 episodes as the inaugural season, the second season of Arcane has already greatly excited fans and the final act has been eagerly awaited by the public. How does Arcane end?
The final battle takes place at the end of “Arkan”.
After the tragic events of Episode 6, in which Jace killed Victor and baby Isha died to save Jinx, the final showdown between Piltover and Zaun was expected. But the seventh episode is a kind of aside in which we discover parallel worlds.
Echo and Heimerdinger are stuck in an alternate universe where Hextech was never invented, Powder never became Jinx, and Vi is dead. Although Eco and Power may have a love story in this world, Eco and Heimerdinger know they must return to the main world to save her.
They then recreate a machine that can go back in time and return Eco to the main world. In turn, Jace was transported to a post-apocalyptic world where Piltover was destroyed.
He finds the hooded old man who gave him the rune stone and realizes that it is a result of the future Victor’s actions. He is then brought back to the main world and promised to stop Victor.
Episode eight takes us back to the main timeline, where the two camps assert themselves. On the one hand, Caitlin, Mel, who received magical powers, and Jace do everything to protect Piltover and evacuate Zaun; Ambesa, on the other hand, prepares her enhanced army and the soldiers supplied and controlled by Victor to return to life and become one with Arcanum.
In prison, Jinx is distraught and wants to end her life and break the cycle of abuse. Vi comes to free her, hoping to save her sister once more, but the latter escapes. Caitlin finds out who she is and the two fall in love like never before.
A tragic and poetic ending for “Arkan”
The ninth and final episode of Arcane’s season is an unprecedented clash between Piltover, aided by several Zauns and Jinx’s supporters, and Ambesa and Victor, who launch a devastating attack with their army, which includes Wander, whose humanity he was. was destroyed.

This battle, which involved the double agent Maddie, but also the death of Ambesa at the hands of her daughter Mel, was just a way for Victor to get to the Hexgate, which Jace was desperately trying to close.
Eco and Jinx, re-energized by him, help the Piltover and Zaun fighters, but are tricked by Victor, who has taken control of the Wild Rune, and who bends everyone to his will, except for Eco, who manages to stop the process using His time travel machine, made in episode 7.
This allows Jace to convince Victor to abandon his destructive plan by revealing what happened to him in the post-apocalyptic parallel universe. The hooded old man was none other than the future Victor, who had been trying to undo the actions of his past all along.
Two former friends reunite and work together to destroy the Wild Rune and save humanity in an epic and moving sequence. Jace and Victor succeed and mysteriously disappear.
Did Vi and Jinx survive the end of the ‘Arcane’ series?
In turn, Wissa and Jinx also make for a moving and tragic reunion. Although Victor is no longer in control, Wander remains wild and attacks Wiss and Jinx. When they manage to neutralize him, the latter launches a final attack on Wie, who was mourning, prompting Jinx to attempt a final attack against him.

But things don’t go as planned, and while Vi tries to catch up with Jinx, who is suspended in the void with Wander, the latter escapes Vi’s grasp and retrieves the grenade with Wander. Even if everything points to Jinx being killed in the explosion, we don’t see Jinx’s body, which might give us little hope of his survival.
Now that everything is back to normal in Piltover and Zaun, the residents must rebuild and start over with a good foundation for a more peaceful and fair life. A new council is formed with Sevika as the Zaun representative.
The series ends with Vi and Caitlin, still in love and united after everything they’ve been through, contemplating their future together in this new world.
So Arcane ends at the end of this second and final season, but Riot Games and studio Fortiche are already working on other series in the “League of Legends” game world. We’ll have to wait to learn more to know the projects developed in the expanded arcane universe. But the fans should be there for the upcoming series.
Both seasons of Arcane are available on Netflix.
