Alpe d’Huez 2025: we know the opening film of the comedy festival and it will give you fries!

4 years after the release of Tuche 4, the Tuche family returns to cinema with a new opus that takes us to England. God Save The Tuche will be released in cinemas on February 5, 2025, but for those who can’t wait, the film will be shown at the opening of the Alpe d’Huez Comedy Festival from January 13, 2025. The festival will be held from January 13 to 19.

The story of Tuche 5, titled Les Tuche – God Save the Tuche, will be partially set in England. Lips still lead a peaceful life in Buzol. But when Gigi, Jeff and Cathy’s granddaughter, is selected for a football camp at Arsenal, it’s the perfect opportunity for the whole family to discover England and meet the royal family. He has yet to imagine that the name Tuche will forever remain a ghost in Albion’s history.

The authors of the film are Philippe Mechelen, Julien Hervé, Nessim Chikhauy and Jean-Paul Rouve.

We remind you that in 2016 the festival was already opened by the film from the Tuche saga, Episode 2, called Les Tuche 2 – The American Dream. Les Tuche 3 was presented in a special session in 2018.

Several films were announced out of competition

According to tradition, the opening film will be presented without competition. Other out-of-competition films have been revealed, with the full selection expected to be announced soon.

Finally, while waiting for the full jury, the name of the president was revealed: the 28th edition will be led by actress Elsa Zilberstein!

The Alpe d’Huez Festival will take place from 13 to 19 January 2025.
