The state of Florida, in the United States, will welcome Flamengo again to compete in the FC Series, in 2025. Participation in the next pre-season, Rubro-Negro’s third in the tournament, will be even more special as it will mark the first decade of the competition – which aims to expand the Florida Cup to the United States. The club is aware that its presence at the event contributes to the internationalization of the brand.
The first part of Flamengo’s pre-season will take place in Gainesville, Florida. During this period, Rubro-Negro will train at the sports facilities of a university with more than 50,000 students – one of the largest in the region – and recognized for sporting excellence.
The pre-season calendar will put Flamengo and Sao Paulo face to face on January 19th. The clubs will meet further south in Floria, For Lauderdale, at Chase Stadium, home of Inter Miami FC. During this period, Rubro-Negro’s training sessions will take place at the Florida Blue Training Center (Messi’s team training center).
It is worth noting that the 2025 pre-season will mark Flamengo’s ninth trip to the United States and third in the FC Series. Rubro-Negro became champions in their first participation, in 2019, after beating Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0. The competition will also see the presence of three other Brazilians in addition to Mais Querido: Atlético-MG, Cruzeiro and São Paulo.

Flamengo’s participation in the FC Series was approved by coach Filipe Luís. For the commander, the visit to the United States will play a fundamental role in strengthening the group during the season, as well as creating a socio-emotional relationship between the players. .
“We understand the utmost importance of having a pre-season outside Rio de Janeiro, where we can bring together the entire group to carry out the necessary preparation, both physical, technical and tactical. Rubro-Negro has the internationalization of the brand as one of its main objectives with its participation in the FC Series. In 2025, this goal will gain even more importance thanks to the Club World Super Cup, which will be held there.
Flamengo’s stay in the USA will last 14 days in the month of January. The delegation will return to Brazil on the 24th to continue the season and compete in the Carioca Championship.
