Assault on the yellow line
A van carrying members of the band CPM 22 to the Rock na Ilha festival, in Barra da Tijuca, was stolen on Saturday night (30/11). The crime occurred in Linha Amarela and at least two members of the group were in the vehicle at the time of the robbery. Despite the scare, according to the group’s press office, no one was injured.
“Guys, everything is fine with us. Unfortunately, they robbed the van that was taking us to the Rock na Ilha show today in Rio de Janeiro, and there was no way to go [a apresentação]. But don’t worry, we’re all fine,” the band said in an official statement.
Show deletion
Following the incident, the band’s performance at the festival had to be cancelled. Singer Fernando Badauí took to social media to reassure fans and thank them for their messages of support. “Thank you for your concern. Everyone is safe,” he said.
Investigation underway
So far there is no information on the identification or location of the suspects, nor whether the van has been recovered. The gang also did not reveal the names of the members who were on board the vehicle at the time of the robbery.
