Will Tim Burton work with Johnny Depp? We know the answer!

Are Tim Burton and Johnny Depp planning to collaborate on a new feature film? The director and actor have many projects together, starting with Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Dark Shadows (2012). In total, both worked together on 7 films.

At the Marrakesh International Film Festival, director Tim Burton gave some information about possible reunions. When asked “Will there be another collaboration with Johnny Depp?”, the filmmaker answered “I’m sure it will be“.

The director did not talk about the specific project together. But he still indicated that he has no plans to make a sequel to Edward Scissorhands.

“I never wanted to make a sequel to Edward Scissorhands because to me the film is unique. The same goes for The Nightmare Before Christmas, which is also something unique. There are some things that are better left alone and free, and for me this movie is one of them.“

As for the connection with the actors, Tim Burton specifies that it is more the project itself that can provoke cooperation with the actor. “The film is about collaboration and the ideas that come from the people around you.”he says.

For reference, the next project may be a remake of the film Attack of the 50-Legged Woman. The project is still in development and has not yet been fully confirmed as the next film the filmmaker will direct.
