Moana 2: Did you hear the ending of the Disney movie? Explanations!

Warning – This article contains spoilers for the sequel to Moana 2. Wait until you continue watching the movie.

Eight years after the Polynesian explorer’s first adventure, Moana is back in theaters! In this new feature film, the children’s favorite heroine embarks on a journey that will take her to the dangerous waters off the coast of the Pacific Islands.

Moana’s goal

With the help of Maui, an all-new crew, and her loyal pets Pua and Heihei, Moana will try to find the island of Motufetu, which centuries ago was an area that allowed explorers to come together, learn from each other, and share experiences.

Until the day when Nalo – the god of storms, who rejected all ideas of human brotherhood – forced the island to sink to the bottom of the ocean, cursed the place forever, and all the roads that led to it disappeared.

Moana will have to brave these dangerous waters to discover the truth and restore MotufetÅ«’s lost heritage. Therefore, the heroine’s goal – as in the first part – is to unite people. A message of peace and unity that also resonates with current events.

Moana’s death?

If the heroine at the end of Moana 2 clearly achieves her goals, the outcome could have been tragic… Maui tries to pull the island from the bottom of the ocean using his hook so Moana can stomp on the earth and undo the curse, but Nalo robs the demigod of his powers (and tattoos) and Maui fails. .

Then the stubborn heroine decides to follow Matangi’s advice (don’t hesitate to get lost to find another way), take Nalo’s right arm and dive into the raging waters. As Moana prepares to reach the top of Motufetu Island, Nalo kills her. The heroine falls to the ground lifeless. He is quickly joined by Maui, who notices that his friend is dead.

It is then that the spirit of Grandmother Tala, her ancestor Tautai Vasa, and the ancient explorers appear and save Moana. Tattoos then appear on his arm and pillow, and Maui’s tattoos reappear.

Moana the Immortal?

Thus, Moana is elevated to demi-goddess status and becomes Maui’s equal, potentially granting her immortality like her friend.

This is a major turning point in Moana’s story arc. Having become immortal, the heroine now experiences many new adventures. Adventures that are also suggested in the film’s post-credits scene.

In this additional sequence, Nalo appears on the screen for the first time. He accuses Matangi of helping Moana and claims revenge on Heroine and Maui. This scene clearly refers to the third film.

Especially since Moana 2 promises to be a huge success at the box office. According to experts, the feature film could become the highest-grossing animated film of all time, surpassing Vice-Versa 2 and its $1.69 billion worldwide.

Moana 2 It is currently showing in cinemas.
