George and Mandy’s First Marriage: The two main characters of Young Sheldon will return to the series

Last May, Young Sheldon, the spin-off of The Big Bang Theory that looked at Sheldon Cooper’s youth, bowed out after 7 years of good and loyal service. That finale, which aired a few weeks ago on NRJ12, didn’t mean the end of the Big Bang Theory world, however, as the spin-off itself was the subject of a spin-off, George and Mandy’s first marriage.

The latter focuses on couple George Cooper (Montana Jordan) and Mandy McAllister (Emily Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas, along with the challenges of adulthood, parenthood and marriage.

And while Young Sheldon takes place a few years before the events of the original series, George and Mandy’s first marriage follows George and Mandy in the same time frame as Young Sheldon, contributing to cameos from the Cooper family and those close to them.

Two iconic characters return

American site TVLine announced that Matt Hobbs, who played Pastor Jeff, would return to George and Mandy’s first marriage next February. And she won’t be alone, as Zoe Perry, who played Mary Cooper, George and Sheldon’s mother, will also return in the same episode, titled “A house divided“.
