Carla rejects Rose
At the institute, Antoine shares with Suleiman the revelation that Rose made to him the day before: he may be Carla’s biological father. Antoine is shocked because he always thought Carla was Raphael’s daughter. However, no doctor confirmed that she was sterile. Suspicion remains, and it will soon be resolved with the results of a DNA test that Angel has taken behind her niece’s back.
Meanwhile, Rose is at a local cafe with Clotilda and Mark. They support and comfort him. Rose regrets not talking to Antoine about her suspicions sooner. He is also afraid that Carla doesn’t want to talk to him anymore. Clotilda and Mark encourage him to speak with an open heart.
Rose decides to go to the Double A kitchen before the service to talk to her daughter. He apologizes to her and admits that he should have told her about the notebook right away. However, Carla has a hard time believing her mother’s word. She begins to doubt his word for everything he has told her and wonders if he is not the toxic lunatic that Angel describes. Deeply hurt, Rose leaves.
In the management office, Antoine hesitates to call Carla. He gives up when Clotilda comes in to check on him and, above all, to plead his sister’s case. Antoine admits that he can’t stand that Rose cheated on him, especially when they met on set. At Clotilde’s insistence, Antoine tells her that he has no lesson to teach her because she also lied to Jeremy about his father’s identity. Annoyed, Clotilde comes out of the office.
At the boarding house, Carla confides in Souleyman. Both admit that they want to have the same father. In addition, they already have the impression that their relationship is sibling. Carla says she wants to talk to Antoine, but is afraid to talk. Suleiman encourages him to do so, pointing out that his father must be in the same position as him.
At the organic farm, Coline tells her mother that Rose and Carla had a heated argument in front of everyone at Double A. Angèle is pleased with this, confident that eventually everyone will see the truth about Rose. Coline then recalls a childhood memory where Rafael was not nice to her. But Angel claims that Rose was the source of all their problems. She adds that her brother dreamed of becoming a father, unlike her who never wanted children. That’s why Angel is convinced that Rose abandoned Carla at birth.
At the end of the day, Antoine finds Carla near his car in the institute’s parking lot. A young girl wants to talk to him. Antoine then declares that he intends to fully assume the role of father and that if he doesn’t, he will always be there for him. The verdict doesn’t take long as Angel arrives to give Carla the DNA test results…
Amy is unrecognizable
In the dressing room, Vic hears Mehdi and Tommy complaining about Amy. They experience his lack of kindness and communication as a laboratory restaurant chef. Vicky comes to her defense and offers to invite the boys out for drinks at the end of the day to break the ice.
After the restaurant-lab service, Amy scores with Mehdi, Tom, and Quentin. They offer to go out for drinks, but she declines and instead offers to work on her new recipe for Christmas. He leaves them to fend for themselves while he finds Rose and Enzo to spend his week.
So Mehdi, Tom and Quentin reluctantly stay at the studio. They struggle to decipher Amy’s handwriting, which has left a list of ingredients and steps to her recipe on a piece of paper. So they decide to make a recipe based on what they can read.
Later, Amy returns to taste their offerings and realizes they are all different. The boys admit that it was difficult for them to read. In the end, Amy finds their suggestions interesting. When they finally consider putting away their aprons, the young woman asks them to stay and make a recipe she originally had an idea for.
Lionel and Ines’ plan is taking shape
For Christmas, Hortense decided to have a stand at the institute, where she plans to revisit many of the traditional desserts from this holiday season. Lionel comes to see him with Thelma. The latter wishes to address one of Hortense’s elves. The chef then clarifies that he only accepts couples.
Once Thelma leaves, Lionel suggests Hortense adopt Zoe and Gary as a pair of elves. He tries to convince her by pointing out that this will allow them to reconcile… and more so if there is a resemblance. But Hortense takes Christmas magic too seriously and refuses to get involved.
Leaving the studio, Lionel meets Thelma in the corridor. He asks Solal to be his elf partner. Lionel forbids them from applying together for Zoe and Gary’s place. But Solal and Thelma both think Lionel’s plan is a bad one, especially since it’s mostly done behind the backs of the participants.
Returning home, Lionel admits to Ines that his plan failed. Then her younger sister has an idea: she applies with Zoe to be Hortense’s elves, then finds a last-minute excuse to replace Gary!
A little later, Lionel suggests that Zoe go with him to Hortense’s elves. Ines insists that her brother absolutely wants to spend time with his family. Zoe accepts.
