The preview of the next episodes of Creature Commandos reveals the dark aspect of the character.

When James Gunn was announced as the new creative head of DC Studios, the film industry has been ringing the news with a lot of excitement and a bit of caution. The excitement is due to the director’s expertise in directing good stories in his recent work at Marvel, with the franchise Guardians of the Galaxyand the fear may lie in the fact that he works largely with renegade characters compared to the greatness of the members of the Avengers or, now, the Justice League.

In the end, however, the director seems very confident in the publisher’s new shared universe and the first step into this era has just been taken with the premiere of Commando of creatures. The animated Max, of which the first two episodes are already available for streaming, represents the first taste of what fans can expect in the future.

The plot follows a secret team of imprisoned monsters, recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. Since the government prohibited the use of criminals for such tasks, after the Suicide Squad incidents, Amanda Waller found a way to create a new squad. And now, when nothing else works, they are the last and worst option.
