The ‘Origem’ project presents compositions and songs recorded before the artist’s first album
The Som Livre record label is born Originalbum it contains 12 songs recorded by legendary singer and songwriter Djavan, one of MPB’s most important and creative artists, before releasing his first original LP Djavan’s voice, guitar and music (1976).
The project, which can be considered “the album before the first album”is available on all digital platforms.
Among the songs, previously unreleased digitally, there are some compositions from the beginning of his career, as well as songs that the artist performed in soap opera soundtracks, hit collections of time, carnival projects AND compact – a habit that record companies cultivated at the beginning of the years 70s.
Origin It brings with it the story of a fast and intense relationship between a new artist and a new record label. While Djavan gained space in the true popular music scene through his intoxicating talent, the Free sound launched the first great artist she trained starting from the soundtracks of soap operas – but not only.
As was customary at the time, the record company specially commissioned soundtracks from composers, an ideal setting for the emergence of new names, and Djavan he was the greatest of them.

About Djavan
Born in Maceio (AL), Djavan arrived at Rio de Janeiro in 1972 to try his luck in the music market.
