Retirement declarations
Anitta spoke about the possibility of finishing her career during Carnatal, in Natal, this Saturday (12/7). The 31-year-old singer said in a conversation with reporters that she was exhausted, noting that the desire to retire was something she had been considering for some time.
“It’s not today that I talk about my desire to retire. It should have happened at the age of 30. I don’t want to slow down, I really want to stop,” the artist said.
He explained that although he has postponed the plan, he wants to prepare fans for the moment, avoiding it being a surprise. “Some things finally happened and I decided to stretch it out a little. […] I want the fans to be ready, so it’s not a surprise.”
Plans after career break
The singer stated that, even after retiring, she does not rule out returning to singing if she feels like it. “I love what I do, but I’m really tired. I’ve done a lot in a very short time, which means a lot of time without vacations and without paying attention to my personal life,” she stressed.
Anitta also mentioned the freedom to make this decision whenever she sees fit. “I don’t think I paid a price. I’m very happy and I planned everything very wisely. I still don’t know what it would be like to ‘quit’, whether I would continue writing, composing or acting.”
