The return of the phenomenon series

Released three years ago, the first season of Severance captivated its viewers with its captivating storyline and many twists and turns. The series, created by Dan Erickson and produced by Ben Stiller, tells the story of Mark Scout (Adam Scott), who works at Lumon Industries.

The employees of this company all underwent a surgical operation to separate their memories related to their professional life from the memories related to their personal life, which is called “dissociation”.

This risky experiment in work-life balance is challenged when Mark finds himself at the center of a mystery that forces him to confront the true nature of his work…and himself.

A promising trailer for the sequel

Season 1 of Severance ended with a major revelation as Mark and his team put themselves in danger to uncover and expose the company’s secrets. And the second season, which has been waiting for three years, will reveal to us the consequences of the rebellion of Mark and his team.

In any case, that’s what the official trailer Apple TV+ released during CCXP24 in Sao Paulo, Brazil promises. The Lumon company will undergo a major turning point in its history, and its leaders will do everything to keep themselves in the public eye, so that Mark and his team appear as the faces of the new dissociation reform, but punish them in private.

But the latter is willing to do anything to escape and learn more about what really happened to his wife Gemma… In this second season, Mark and his team learn the hard way that you can’t joke about the limits of dissociation.

This second season of Severance, which promises to be even more exciting, will be available from January 17, 2025, with the first two episodes airing. The rest of the season will be posted online with a new episode every Friday until March 21.

In addition to Adam Scott, the cast for the second round of Severance episodes will include: Britt Lower, Trammell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tulloch, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken and Patricia Arquette. Sarah Bock and Ólafur Darí Ólafsson, who joins the cast.
