The books that gave rise to “Game of Thrones” may never be completed

George RR Martin, known for his famous series A song of ice and firediscussed the progress of his long-awaited book The winds of winterwhich is 13 years late.

In an interview with The Hollywood journalistthe author admitted that he himself was surprised by the long delay and commented: “I keep wondering how I could have been 13 years late”.

Despite this, Martin says he still considers the book a priority, even though many people have already lowered their expectations for the work, going so far as to suggest it will never be completed.

The age of the author can also be an issue

While it’s easy to get frustrated with the delay, Martin has the right to decide the fate of the series. Expectations, however, continue to grow, given that the last book came out in 2011 and the current range is already the longest ever.
