Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sarah Michelle Gellar Makes the Announcement All Fans Have Been Waiting For!

He always said it wouldn’t happen to him and finally…why not? Sarah Michelle Gellar, the iconic star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, talked about the possible return of the cult series and for the first time was open to the idea!

Currently in the midst of a promotional tour promoting Dexter: Original Sin (a prequel to Dexter, notably starring Patrick Dempsey and Christian Slater), the actor made a string of failed comebacks (The Crazy Ones, Ringer, Wolf Pack). guest on the set of The Drew Barrymore Show and made this announcement that surprised more than one Slayer fan:

“It’s funny, I’ve always said no to a revival because Buffy the Vampire Slayer is unique and perfect. But he sees And exactly like that And the Dexter franchise, I see there are ways to do it and I’m like, “Okay, maybe.”“

Sarah Michelle Gellar adds that this potential new fiction may not be a prequel at all: “It could be anything. This is the world. It realizes that we need heroes in this world, more than I ever thought.“
