Many Disney Studios characters left the original film to come and make a small cameo in another feature film. This tradition, which has continued to this day to the delight of fans, was born in the early 90s.
Released in 1992, featuring the genie of the lamp and his many transformations, Aladdin benefits from a remarkable proliferation of these types of cameos, totaling four in the film.
- At exactly 45 minutes, when the Genie has just freed Aladdin from the Cave of Wonders and the latter promises to use his third wish to free him, Big Blue, doubting the honesty of his new master, reveals his disbelief and secretly takes on Pinocchio’s qualities.
- It’s only after 45 minutes and 54 seconds that the Genie opens his magical recipe book to transform Aladdin into the prince that he pulls out a crab that is none other than Sebastian, the Little Mermaid’s clawed friend.
- At 47 minutes and 17 seconds into the film, when the Sultan of Agrabah is having fun with his construction game, we see that one of the figures represents the hero of Beauty and the Beast.
- Finally, at 1 hour, 21 minutes and 54 seconds, after the final battle with Jafar, when the characters transformed by the Grand Vizier return to their original form, watch Raja carefully, skipping the frame-by-frame sequence if possible. Indeed, at the moment when the tiger regains its adult size, for a split second, its head acquires the characteristics of Mickey Mouse, the famous mascot of the Disney studios.
