A multi-awarded and dedicated actor, Billy Porter Starts a new adventure: directing. After wrapping up a series of poses — which earned her an Emmy Award in 2019 — the Broadway star is stepping behind the camera. Nothing is impossible.
It tells the story of a transgender teenager who falls in love with a high school boy. No longer dark and painful representations of transcendence, the filmmaker chooses a colorful, positive and naive vision. For this educational story, Billy Porter was inspired by the master of American comedies for teenagers: John Hughes, author Breakfast Club, Sixteen candles for Sam or Ferris Bueller’s Mad Day.
